EXETAT, Diplôme d'État
In Germany
Two steps before the university sees you: your state examination is recognised by the federal state you will live in, and the application itself goes through a central service, not to the university.

Function by function
01 · University application processingNo equivalent → uni-assistNone
No Congolese equivalent. Applications go directly to each institution, which handles admission and enrolment itself; there is no central clearing house to route or pre-check a file.
03 · School certificate recognitionNo equivalent → ZeugnisanerkennungsstelleNone
No Congolese equivalent, and this is the step that catches people out: a Congolese diploma is not recognised by arriving with it. A German state office must convert it into a recognised entrance qualification first, and only then does an application mean anything.
